My partner and I have played this nearly every night since it arrived, and the two-player back-and-forth stays tense without ever feeling complicated. The wooden pieces have a nice weight and the board looks good enough to leave out on the coffee table.

The compact box fits perfectly on a small shelf, and the smooth wooden pieces make each move feel deliberate. My partner and I have been hooked on the asymmetric win conditions—it’s refreshingly balanced for a two-player game.

Bought this on a whim for game night and it's become our go-to two-player filler. The standard edition pieces feel solid and the rules click within a round or two, which is rare for strategy games.
